After a week of being ill I decided to go out last night considering I leave university in 2 weeks so I felt like relaxing and making the most of my time in Galashiels. These are just really quick snaps of my outfit that I wore last night. The top I wore is actually a dress that I've had for years and have just started to wear again teaming it up with levi's and platforms. 

Yet again sorry for my lack of posts, everything is going so quick at the moment but as soon as I finish this term I'll get back to posting more often and maybe doing more outfit/purchase posts. I'll also try and keep you informed on any projects I do, I'm also going to start making knitted jumpers in summer because I'll have so much free time! Enjoy :)

Weaving Away

My week has been a busy one, for my weave project I had to create six technical and creative samples. These are my six creative samples with I focused around the title 'Underwater', I gathered inspiration from images and fashion research. I am actually really happy with how these turned out considering this is my first time weaving on a Dobby Loom. All these pictures were taken and edited on Instagram on my iphone. Some of the pictures aren't very clear but the samples are only 7inches long and around 10ish inches wide so you can only see the detail close up, I've also added fancy yarns, thick yarns and open weft/warp throughout these samples. I'd love to know what you's all think!

Peppermint & Knit

 After yet another busy week at university I went out with the flat last night so I am hanging right now and have overdosed on pizza but it's nice to actually relax. I've also had a stress at home, I'm having to move house so I've been back and forth to Newcastle this week trying to help my mum find a new house. Anyway, this is the outfit I wore last night. Everything I am wearing is from Topshop, I really try not to do this but this outfit just worked and the shorts and jumper were new so I wanted to wear them. I also teamed this up with a vintage brown bag and platform shoes. I've also had my hair dyed, it's actually a lot blonder then this picture shows but I'm still going to get it a little blonder for summer. Enjoy :)

Inspiration.

I can't take any credit for these photo's, these are just some of my favourites from the week that I have reblogged from various sources on Tumblr. I'm back home in Newcastle this weekend and getting my hair done on saturday, I'm going back to my natural colour... blonde! It'll be weird not having dip dyed/ombre hair anymore but I've had it for almost two years now and I'm bored and everyone has it now. It'll be nice to just go natural again and not have to worry about constantly dying my hair while I'm at uni, I also love the blonde beach messy hair look.

 This outfit is very plain and simple, I was trying to go casual just with a good pair of shoes and I was desperate to wear my newest shoes which I had recently purchased from eBay. This week has yet again been super busy at university but I'm going to keep up with at least doing a sunday post every week because I normally do absolutely nothing on sundays apart from watch Greys Anatomy/Criminal Minds so I nearly always have the time. I'm also so depressed at the fact I didn't go to LFW, a lot of students at my uni go and I'm really regret not going. Already planning for September because I'm not missing another one so at least that something to look forward to. Anyway, enjoy :)

A Week in Pictures.

As you can see from these pictures my week has contained a hell of a lot of weaving, I'm not even going to deny that I have been in the weaving shed five days a week and produced six technical samples so I am pretty proud of myself! This week has been really full on with uni work but I can't complain too much considering I finish on the 30th of March and only have one exam after then, so if I'm hardly posting you know why but I'll be back before you know it! This weekend I went back to Newcastle to escape from Galashiels because it can get very boring at times when you're so used to living in a city. I have also been purchasing new things this week even though I'm skint, both of the shoes I bought and the leggings I bought were off eBay, I found some very good deals! I also bought a new lipstick from MAC because we bought my flatmate a few MAC lipsticks for her birthday and safe to say I got very jealous so had to get one for myself.

I recently did a photo shoot for my one of my flatmates for a magazine project he is recently working on. This photo shoot had to show the skirt/shirts first years had made. This is a pretty big post because I just couldn't decide which ones I loved most! The first three are the ones that his group have decided to feature in the magazine.
